With Memorial day coming soon, my darling companion is honoring his Veteran father today by wearing his WWII flight jacket. This days is special as it would have been his 94th birthday. Dan is standing in front of a photo taken by his father of another plane in his squadron while stationed in England.

ReplyDeleteFather and Father-in-law were Navy men. Grandfather was in the Army. I think Daddy's blood was not only red, but white and blue, too. They all are, indeed, very special men. Thanks, Deb.
ReplyDeleteThank you Deb- beautiful tribute! My Dad met my Mom while serving overseas and a favorite cousin of mine made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. My brother was Marine Corp.

Thank you to Dan and your family members. We lost Joey in Viet Nam. He was the son of my mom's dear friend and former roommate.
